Semilla has partnered with smallholders at Monkaaba to bring delicious coffees to the world with consistently high prices to producers, buying lots that are more difficult to sell on their own at an average of 50% over the going local market price, decaffeinating them, and generating a more holistic purchasing practice year after year.

This EA decaf finds it’s name from the fresh squeezed sugar cane juice (Guarapo) that serves as a lunchtime snack or evening cocktail. EA (Ethyl Acetate) processing involves using sugarcane derived natural solvent to strip the coffee of its caffeine. This coffee is a delicious example of pairing a standard of solidarity with a high standard of cup quality that must be the future of our industry.
