Our first single farm offering from Ethiopia comes from coffee producer Daniso Horsa in Bombe located in the Sidama region of Ethiopia. Coffees from Bombe are well-known for their intense tropical fruit and floral characteristics which are well on display in this lot. To further bring out those fruit characteristics, this coffee has been exposed to a low oxygen fermentation before being dried on raised beds. As a result, we find lots of juicy watermelon upfront with pineapple acidity, rounded out by an orange creamsicle finish. The mouthfeel is creamy while the profile is tropical and bright. In this area, many people belong to the Shantawene Kebena group, with local languages Sidaamu and Amharic.
